*Model the use of this board by pointing to the photo when you feel that emotion. "I feel tired"
*Label each emotion and test for receptive understanding (name the emotion and the child points to the correct picture).
*If child has trouble identifying the emotions, act out each one. In front of a mirror, change your facial expression and see if the child can copy it. Keep practicing this until the child can identify feelings on other's faces.
*Help the child identify his own feelings until he can express it independently.
